Seattle Theatre Group Annual Report

STG had seen success with a digital annual report in 2014 and 2015, but they still felt the public was not well-informed about STG’s community work. My team and I set to work crafting a story that both summarized STG’s year and gave the reader a broader sense of STG’s work.
A website about performing arts is any web designer's dream. High-res, dynamic images to fill the screen? Yes, please. I decided to showcase some of STG's best images of the year through a combination parallax scrolling between sections and static images with each section's text.
The typography of the site emphasizes the numbers and headers with bold and clean styles. I also chose to show the word “ART” as if it were in motion over the hero image, because our story referred to art as a dynamic, moving thing.
STG chose to link to this report in each ticket purchase summary email, and it saw an increase in traffic over the reports from the previous two years.
